Yet at the same time that they are saying this, they are being featured on huge corporate mass media outlets, and their speeches are 'approved' by a system that is controlled by huge corporations behind the scenes. Since the whole political process from beginning to end is funded by huge corporations, no one can really bite the hands that feed them.

Even if the politicians claim that they are against big corporate influence (including Trump), right after the speech is done, they are out dialing for dollars or giving speeches to those huge corporate funders. Once they take the money, they have sold out, and no matter what they say, they will always do the bidding of their corporate masters. Trump has said he needs to raise a BILLION dollars to beat Clinton. Where will that money come from?

Huge corporations and billionaires fund not only the political conventions, the mass media, the elections, the primaries, ALEC (which writes the laws) plus the army of lobbyists that descend on politicians like a cloud of locusts onto a ripe wheat field.

For a politician at any of these conventions to claim to be free of corporate control, is like a man diving in the ocean, and claiming not to be wet.

Bernie supporters KNEW THIS FOR ONE YEAR and saw it happening during the whole primary, but no one listened and no one reported it, because those Bernie supporters were just crazy looney tunes, right? She embraced Bush’s “shock and awe” campaign in Iraq and was thereby complicit in destroying the artificial nation created by Sykes-Picot in 1916. So doing, Clinton helped unleash the furies of Islamic sectarian conflict that eventually led to the mayhem and brutality of the Shiite militias and the rise of the ISIS butchers on the backs of the dispossessed Sunni tribes and the demobilized officer corps of Saddam.

Tellingly, Hillary Clinton made a beeline for the Senate Armed Services Committee, the domain of the Jackson war democrats, not the Foreign Affairs Committee, where Frank Church had exposed the folly of Vietnam and the treacherous deeds of the CIA. Undoubtedly, this was to burnish her commander-in-chief credentials, but it spoke volumes.

During last night’s speeches at the Democratic Party’s convention to nominate Hillary Clinton for president of the United States, former Secretary of War and CIA Director Leon Panetta tried to fearmonger by blaming Russia for supposedly interfering in a U.S. election (by allegedly revealing how the Democratic Party had in fact rigged its primary for Hillary Clinton). The delegates from Oregon began a chant of “No More War!” and held up signs including “End the drone wars!” California and other delegations joined in. Panetta had to stop speaking. COUNTERPUNCH: "Nearly three-quarters of Republican convention delegates are chosen by some variation of the winner-take-all feature, and it is manifestly undemocratic. When the candidate with even slightly more votes in a primary is allocated all the delegates, the vote is effectively declared unanimous. The popularity of the winner is greatly but unjustly exaggerated. A few wins in the early states steamrolls the fortunate candidate to victories in the states to follow, and the effect is cumulative.

The Democratic Party does better in this regard, relying on proportional allocation. But in this election cycle, the party’s suppression of democracy mimics a banana republic’s. The DNC and the Clinton campaign were joined at the hip from the beginning, in stark violation of party rules prohibiting favoritism during the primaries. The DNC withheld the Party’s voter database from the Sanders campaign, denying him access to potential campaign contributors. It programmed only six debates, half the Republicans’ number, and three were scheduled on weekends to minimize the viewing audience. Even before Ms. Clinton had a single declared opponent 400 superdelegates were presented as committed votes, unjustly exaggerating her popularity, and the practice continued in state after state. Finally the Associated Press declared Ms. Clinton to be the “presumptive nominee” the night before California and five other states held their primaries. 5% of the Iowa caucuses were never counted.

In Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Sanders’ home town, 125,000 voters were purged from the rolls. Arizona voters waited 3 to 4 hours to vote—in pro-Sanders precincts. In Nevada 58 Sanders delegates to the state convention were summarily disqualified. California was called for Clinton when her lead reached 400,000 votes—with 2.5 million provisional ballots uncounted. Bill Clinton and Attorney General Lynch visited on the tarmac in Phoenix, after which she announced she would accept whatever decision the FBI might render regarding Ms. Clinton’s potential indictment. The next day FBI Director Comey described Ms. Clinton’s felonies in detail but chose not to indict for lack of precedent. Attorney General Lynch accepted the decision. 20,000 DNC emails came to light documenting the collusion between DNC and it’s preferred candidate, whereupon the head of the party Ms. Wasserman-Schultz resigned. In a heartbeat Ms. Clinton praised her service to the Democratic Party and made her the honorary chair of the Clinton campaign.

If we are to have a shred of confidence in our presidential elections, the behavior this time of both political parties cannot be sustained. We need systemic change to retrieve and retain the democracy so loudly proclaimed by both parties and so little displayed by either. But that must wait; today we face the tinpot dictator and the felonious woman.

Party Conventions are designed to collect power and concentrate the focus on just one political party and one political candidate, to the exclusion of all others, including those such as Bernie Sanders, who may have just as many supporters as the 'official' candidate, possibly even more. The Dualopoly system is systemically corrupt to the core, and there is not way to 'tweak' it better.

Once the corporate controlled politicians are bought off and 'herded' from the political corporate owned 'conventions' (don't you dare by unconventional or different) into the corporate slaughter pens, they sick corporate 'donors' and then ALEC on them, and force them to sign laws that they have not even read. These ALEC sponsored laws are good for the corporations but BAD for the 99 percent

WHAT ABOUT SOLUTIONS?

Political parties, conventions, primaries and the Dualopoly all need to go; it is time to start over with a modern election system, which allows EVERYONE to vote their conscience and get their politician elected without huge amounts of money involved. Elections can be held in a two week period, with debates daily, right up to the election.

Corporations should be banned from elections, not allowed to lobby or contribute to reps, and be forced to give equal time to all candidates via the PUBLIC AIRWAVES, that AMERICAN CITIZENS OWN. This is how the FOUNDERS set it all up, but corporations have changed the rules in the middle of the game, and they want it ALL.

No one needs to fly all over the place or travel from state to state. Everyone can get equal times on the mass media and be listed along with their position and policy statement linked online, so everyone can make a decision based on INFORMATION, rather than emotional hype.

A convention is designed to 'bring unity' behind one corporate owned candidate. Why is this needed? Why not ALLOW people to vote their conscience instead of being forced into voting for the lesser of two evils?

The current Dualopoly system does not ALLOW anyone other than a HUGE MONEY corporate owned candidate into Congress, Senate or Presidential office. The people have no real voice, and no real candidate that ever has a real chance, as the campaign for Bernie Sanders shows.

Why do conventions spend a lot of time demonizing the 'other' candidate? Why is there such a need to divide and conquer? Why not allow everyone a free choice and have candidates flesh out what they stand for, in a positive way, without dragging everyone else down?

The 1 percent loves to divide and conquer, as they can 'control' and 'program' the people on both sides of the argument via their corporated owned mass media, in a DUALOPOLY that they CONTROL AND MANAGE. If you like being herded into the slaughter pen over and over again, keep on doing the same thing and vote for Trump or Clinton. Prepare to suffer and then to be slaughtered and eaten alive financially speaking.

Trump and Sanders have no chance to represent the people in this MATRIX DUALOPOLY system. If they make it through the primary, they are corrupted in the general election, because that is what takes corporation money to make it through to the office of the President and the corporations KNOW this. And that is where the candidates have to make a deal with the DEVIL; absolute power and absolute money, which rules behind the 'thrones' of political office buys anyone who makes it this far.

Bernie Sanders supporters at the Democratic National Convention claim people are seizing pro-Sanders signs in an effort to suppress the heavy support he is receiving on the convention floor.

The allegations began flying Monday night on Twitter just as the Democratic convention kicked off. Many Sanders supporters in the arena booed every mention of presumed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, creating a divisive atmosphereat what is supposed to be the party’s big celebration.

“They are ripping signs out of people’s hands and threatening no credentials tomorrow if we hold up signs,” one Sanders delegate allegedly said in a text message exchange posted online by a friend.

Why even have 'political parties'? Why not just allow candidates to put forth their platform, make their pitch and let the chips and votes fall where they may? Why not give any politicians who receives more than a couple percent of the vote a position in the House or Senate and their power is allocated according to the percent of total votes they receive, as happens in many countries other than the US? There should be a do over, or Clinton should be going to JAIL, not being elected as the Presidential candidate. She claims to be about 'fairness', when all she did was rig the system to cause Sanders to fail, and her to win, despite lack of public support. Not counting votes, colluding with mass media and officials is not something that should be tolerated in a supposedly 'free' country. This lack of any justice or action other than letting Wasserman go, is testimony to how powerful corporations are behind the scenes, because they drive all of this corruption, in order to make sure that ONLY their candidate wins, no matter what.

Humm, if the worst Clinton gets out of this is just another lawsuit, on top of the other 300 lawsuits she is involved with, who cares? The 1 percent know how to slow down or stop lawsuits, and make sure that 10 years from now, no one will care what the result of that lawsuit is, and everyone will have forgotten all about what started it, or no longer care about it, because she will be out of office, and the next corporate controlled candidate will be in her place.

Sanders handing Clinton the baton for a new revolution a la Bernie and the 99%, is like trying to put new wine into OLD, ROTTEN, SLIMY, LEAKING WINESKINS. This will not work.

You cannot take someone who has sold their SOUL to the evil that is huge corporations, who demand and get their due when they 'contribute' and then expect them to turn completely around and tell them no. It does not work that way. A SOULED OUT person is SOULED OUT, PERIOD. A rigged election is a FRAUDULENT election, which should be tossed and then start over. Instead, the rigger is rewarded.

If you want a Bernie Sanders who took ZERO corporate money and did not sell out, except to Clinton, then you have to vote for someone like that. Now all that is left is ruins and rags, if one goes with the Democrats or the Republicans.

But there is still a choice.. Check out the Green Party, or the Libertarians. At the very least, the Green Party does not take corporation 'donations', and the Libertarians, well check them out too. And guess what, for all of the people who plan to vote for a corrupt Clinton just because she is a woman, the Green Party has been forwarding and offering a WOMAN as Presidential candidate for several years, along with a woman VP. But then again, most people are caught in a MATRIX, which will not allow them to vote for the best choice; they have to vote for evil, or more evil.

What is it inside of a person that gets them to vote for darkness instead of light, year after year, decade after decade?

When huge corporations 'own' the process, truth goes by the wayside. Carbon fuel companies love claiming that their product is harmless and has nothing to do with global warming. Nuclear companies love to claim that their product is harmless and has nothing to do with global warming. Having Sanders supporters who donated small amounts and ran a clean honest campaign FROM THE HEART, joining the Clinton campaign, is like asking a pure, Agape love virgin to marry a serial murderer, and to be happy about it.

The birth that Sanders represents is exactly the opposite of the decaying and dying MATRIX system and process that Clinton represents. The birth is happening inside the hearts and minds and consciousness of the Rainbow warriors. As this birth happens, they change and become not just individuals, but a loving TRIBE, joined in LOVING CONSCIOUSNESS OF UNITY, which is leading towards ONENESS.

The GLOBAL ONENESS has not been birthed yet, except on an individual and small group level, but it is on the way. The Rainbow tribe feels this birth coming, and yearns for it, as a mother yearns and waits for the birth of her baby, so she can express the Agape love that she was destined to express. Humanity is destined to express and live in AGAPE love and harmony, after Heaven FULLY descends to Earth.

The old system must die, because it has nothing in common with the new REVOLUTIONARY system being born. The new ONENESS based system is inclusive, pro 100 percent, pro ALL OF US, and ALL OF LIFE. The new system is based on a universal CONSCIOUSNESS or awareness that we are ONE human race, not many different races that fight each other. The new wine is going to be stored and drunk in and from the heart, not the mind. The mind is like the old wine skin.. it cannot hold what is coming, but it can be a servant to it, just like a horse properly trained and bridled to a trained rider.

Logic has little or nothing to do with the coming INNER revolution, so trying to fit this new wine into old systems, that were built on the back of slavery, prejudice, 1 percent old white men controlling everything, violence, greed, absolute power, just will not work.

The process leading to the ONENESS must be done individually, and it is an INSIDE job, not something that is bought, sold, traded, or forcibly taken with violence, torture or threats. The REVOLUTION process leading to ONENESS is

2. Inner Joy

3. Inner Compassion

4. UNITY/ CONSENSUS

5. ONENESS

If you know what at least one, two or more of these things are, based on EXPERIENCE, you are part of the Rainbow Tribe. If you don't know what any of these are by experiencing them, set the goal and seek them out. There are many teachers, and once you set the intention and are sincerely seeking, the teacher will appear.

Shaun King Can I have a few minutes of your time? Let me explain a few things in greater detail. It's rather urgent.

The Democratic Party is in shambles. Anyone telling you otherwise is lying or gravely misinformed. Experts and veterans from the inside and outside have told me this in explicit detail. They are broke, they have a skeleton staff, aren't bringing in money, and have no sincere plan to overhaul the organization.

I do not say this as an insult. I was a Democrat for my entire life. My mother, who made light bulbs at the Sylvania factory for over 40 years, was a lifelong Democrat. I was a volunteer in Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and spoke alongside him in Atlanta with my mentor Mayor Maynard Jackson. I campaigned for Obama in '08 & '12.

I say this because right now, Republicans control the House, the Senate, the Presidency, most governorships, most state legislatures, and most state senates.

In the past 10 years, Democrats lost nearly 1,500 elected positions. As it is right now, Democrats fully control the governments in just 4 states. FOUR.

Are you hearing what I am telling you??? Historians are now literally saying that this is the weakest the Democratic Party has been in 100 years - RIGHT NOW.

And so, we have the least popular President in modern American history, and this man is doing REAL DAMAGE to real people - targeting Muslims, targeting immigrants, targeting voter's rights, buddying up with private prisons and causing their stocks to soar, abandoning programs to reform policing, destroying the environment - AND THE ONLY OTHER PARTY that can take back power is a FUCKING MESS.

Do you hear me? I'm not saying this because I am "looking backwards." Don't be obtuse. Don't be an idiot. I'm saying this because the Democratic Party is such a mess and that mess is harming the people I know and love.

Today, both Donna Brazile, Elizabeth Warren said the Democratic Party made some wildly unethical decisions to rig the primary for Hillary Clinton, that the party was near bankrupt, that state parties were broke and decimated, and that they were taking out loans to make ends meet.

THIS IS NOT OK. When I highlight these problems, I'm not gloating, I'm sounding the alarm. I'm not bragging, I'm saying WAKE THE FUCK UP. Excuse my language. But we are in an emergency situation and this disorganization and mismanagement and corruption must end.

It must end and we have to be the ones to immediately demand better or we are absolutely going to continue losing and losing big.

The biggest thing that the Democrat party could to do transform itself is to ban all donations from corporations. Unless they do that, they will continue to lose, lose, lose.

On a personal level, register to vote.

Get informed about the candidates. Do your homework about their beliefs, their positions, and their policies.

VOTE, but only cast your vote for candidates that refuse to accept corporate 'donations'.

Work to get money out of politics, and eliminate super delegates. Implement same day voter registration and/or automatic voter registration for anyone getting a driver's license or permit.

A direct democracy would be the ideal, with no political parties, and 'donations' limited to 1 dollar, from US citizens only, plus a set amount of mass media coverage that is FREE for all candidates, and debates that feature all candidates including third parties. Why can't we all have a vote on all bills? Start locally and work up to the state, then national elections and bills.

We don't need politicians to vote on corporate introduced bills that they never even read. We also don't need the Electoral College, which hands the LOSING candidate the election.
