THE US MILITARY KNEW BACK IN THE 70'S HAT HEAVY METAL RADIOACTIVE POISONS WERE NOT GOOD FOR PEOPLE, BUT EXPOSED CHILDREN TO THIS TOXIC WASTE ANYWAY


The Pentagon knew back in the 1970's that ionizing radiation from things such as radium painted instruments, panels or dials were hazardous to health. But they did not inform civilians or soldiers of this hazard. Companies making radium painted dials or instruments for the military also did not warn their workers, or people living in the areas where they dumped this radioactive material. As a result, students ended up living in what ended up being a Superfund radioactive waste dump. Who ended up paying to clean up the radioactive garbage? Taxpayers; but not the military, insurance companies or the contracters involved.

Where is Lock Haven?
The city of Lock Haven is the county seat ofClinton County, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Located near the confluence of the West Branch Susquehanna River and Bald Eagle Creek, it is the principal city of the Lock Haven Micropolitan Statistical Area, itself part of the Williamsport–Lock Haven combined statistical area. At the 2010 census, Lock Haven's population was 9,772.[4]

SUMMARY

How many people were poisoned by radiation? How many people got sick, injured or died? How many pregnant women, young children playing in the area got exposed? How much dust blew from this site and traveled around town to other residents? Did anyone get tested for radiation exposure in this town? It sounds like despite the movie, the whole messy radioactive garbage debacle was quietly swept under the rug and no one did anything, tested anyone or pursued legal avenues. The Pentagon has a way of dealing with things like this, and the pattern is the same in every case. Cover up, hide, deny, and minimize, while not testing anyone for anything, seems to be the standard way of not dealing with the consequences. Oh, and have the taxpayers pay for all of the clean up.
