WHERE ARE THE PRIORITIES IN THE US? THE RICH NEED MORE MONEY, SO THEY TAKE IT FROM THE HOMELESS AND FROM KIDS: BY CUTTING BUDGETS FOR SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

Source/credit US Uncut

This is probably the most outrageous example of class warfare we've ever posted. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett has cut $1.5 billion from schools since 2008, mostly in poor districts. Over the same period, wealthy race-horse owners have received $1.5 billion in tax subsidies.

UNTOUCHABLE HOMELESS CASTE SYSTEM IN THE USA IS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE IN INDIA, BUT WITH A CHRISTIAN FLAVOR

As the US descends into Third World Country status, it ignores, denies and suppresses all solutions for the homeless crisis, in favor of Capitalism via religions, politics, and business. Each category of Capitalism always has more important things to spend money on than the homeless.

Churches always have more important things to spend donations on than the homeless issue.

Politicians always need new buildings for their agencies, so money is diverted from homeless funding into building new and better prisons, government buildings, meeting rooms, or whatever.

Businesses and corporations typically hate the homeless because they get in the way of making more profit, so instead of spending money on solving the problem by providing housing, they urge the police department and politicians to build more jails and crack down on the criminal homeless.

THE US HAS A LARGE AND GROWING UNTOUCHABLE CLASS; AS CLASS WARFARE AND INCOME INEQUALITY GROWS, SO DOES THE HOMELESS CRISIS

Just about everyone knows about the 'untouchable' class in India. They get no jobs, no education, have no rights, and are feared, ignored and denied any help. Basically, this lowest class of people in India is homeless and considered worthless, lower than animals. Here is an example of just one small part of what makes up this untouchable class in India.

In the poorest regions of India, Hindus still believe a husband's death to be divine punishment for the widow's sins. Many women almost cease to exist after they are widowed. They become untouchable and ignored.

How are the homeless in America, any different from the 'untouchables' in India? Aren't the homeless here ignored, despised, and not given any meaningful help or assistance, just like the untouchables in India?

IN A CHRISTIAN NATION WITH 350,000 CHURCHES, THE HOMELESS CAMP ALL AROUND THEM, AND EVEN IN THEIR DOORSTEPS, AS THE SOLUTIONS ARE IGNORED, DENIED AND SUPPRESSED IN FAVOR OF BUILDING EVEN MORE AND LARGER MEGA CHURCHES WITH DONATIONS FROM COMMUNITY MEMBERS

Churches get a special tax exemption in order to conduct social services in the community that they serve. There are 350,000 churches all across America, and all of them pay zero taxes. What are they doing to help house the homeless population?  Why are the biggest and richest mega churches building bigger mansions, buying more private jets, and building bigger mega churches, instead of serving the homeless?

WHY IS EVERY HOMELESS PERSON A CRIMINAL IN THE UNITED STATES?

Not many people understand that being without an address for even a day makes you into a criminal subject to citation, fines and/or arrest. Most people and the mass media think of and describe the homeless as drug dealers, criminals and prostitutes. The assumption is that they are all felons, drug addicts, don't work, liars, cheats and will steal you blind if given the chance. But is this assumption really true?

The mentally ill are often homeless as well. If they get picked up off the street, what happens to them inside the US? Got human slavery? Elizabeth Warren weighs in..../

MORE AND MORE US CITIES AND TOWNS ARE PASSING LAWS MAKING THE HOMELESS INTO CRIMINALS AND SUBJECTING THEM TO THE BURDEN OF PRISON SENTENCES, CONVICTION RECORDS AND MORE

The U.N Human Rights Committee issues a report criticizing the US for it's treatment of the homeless and days later, Louisiana lawmakers propose jailing the homeless for 6 months if they beg for money. If they sleep in the public spaces or try and go to the bathroom, because there are no public toilets or bathrooms available, they are fined and jailed because they don't have the money to pay the fines and don't show up to court, so an arrest warrant is issued. Being homeless means that you are a CRIMINAL, worthy only of punishment and jail.

WHEN AND WHY DID A CHRISTIAN NATION DECIDE IT WAS OK TO VIOLATE ALL OF THE CHRISTIAN MAXIMS TAUGHT BY JESUS CHRIST AND MAKE THE HOMELESS INTO CRIMINALS?

When is being homeless against the law in Sonoma County?
Sleeping in public is legal, but there are exceptions. A person — homeless or not — can roll out a picnic blanket and take a rest in Old Courthouse Square. The activity becomes unlawful if camping equipment is involved or if the person blocks a sidewalk. Santa Rosa city ordinances prohibit camping, public urination and camping on private property without the owner’s permission, such as business entryways. These are considered infractions, which could generate a citation and fine but generally not an arrest.

Do you know of anyone who can regularly sleep outside without any camping equipment, no sleeping bag and no tent to protect that person from the cold rain and dampness, especially in winter? The reality is that most homeless people accumulate what they need to survive; a tent, sleeping bag, food, in other words, camping equipment. But that is illegal, as the above quote shows. When a citation and fine is issued to a homeless person trying to survive, they often eventually end up in jail because they have no way of getting around, no car, no money and mentally are not there to keep track of days and calenders. This means that they don't show up for court dates, don't pay fines, and thus end up with an arrest warrant. Then the next step is jail.

Bottom line, it is illegal to accumulate anything you may need to stay warm, stay out of the rain, to protect yourself from the cold, to sleep, try to get some food with no money, or go to the bathroom, especially if you do not have a job, phone, car or home.

Italian court rules food theft 'not a crime' if hungry - BBC News
A homeless man did not commit a crime when he stole small quantities of food, an Italian court rules...

In the US, if a homeless person steals food because he or she is hungry, it is off to jail with them, even if they did it to feed their kids. Yes, there are plenty of homeless moms with kids. There are even plenty of homeless working moms with kids, who do not make enough money to qualify for a rental home.

God have mercy on you if you ever get sick, get in an accident and cannot work, only to lose your home and everything you own.. Now you are a criminal and you will more than likely end up with a lengthy prison sentence. The average person who is living on the 'edge', is usually no more than 30 to 90 days away from this..

HOMELESS PEOPLE HAVE NO RIGHTS TO OWN ANYTHING, AND CAN HAVE EVERYTHING THEY OWN BE CONFISCATED AND THEN DESTROYED WITH NO COMPENSATION OR DUE PROCESS

When homeless people sue the police or government over confiscating and destroying their property, they usually win. Here is a good example of homeless people fighting back, using the legal system.

It Just Got Harder For LA Police To Confiscate Homeless People’s Possessions

Cops often fail to distinguish between contaminated property and that which is essential for homeless people to survive.

MANY CITIES AND TOWNS ARE CRACKING DOWN ON THE HOMELESS, AND INSTEAD OF HELPING THEM AND GIVING THEM A HAND UP, THEY ARE CRIMINALIZING THE HOMELESS AND THROWING THEM ALL INTO JAIL

San Rafael isn’t the only city cracking down on homelessness by cracking down on the homeless themselves. A handful of cities have passed ordinances banning them from sleeping outside. Some have bans on sitting or lying down on sidewalks, while others have criminalized panhandling. Still others go after those who try to help the homeless by handing out meals. There has recently been an uptick in every kind of ordinance that criminalizes homelessness.

Dealing with issues that cause homelessness does cost money, and it takes effort by the whole community making up MANY stakeholders and organizations, plus a lot of empathy and compassion. The homeless issue "makes politicians’ heads hurt. There is a far simpler and cheaper answer, familiar to anyone who has ever confronted the situation posed by the presence of dust, a broom and a rug." Just sweep it all under the carpet and pretend it does not exist.

In the following video, you are watching people in the worst of the worst circumstances. The proof is here that people caught in desperate circumstances are still honorable, honest and do the right thing. The homeless are not all criminals and doing illegal things.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO JESUS IF HE HAD BEEN BORN TO HOMELESS PARENTS IN AN ANIMAL SHED IN THE YEAR 2020, IN THE US?

If Jesus had been born in a US city called Bethlehem or Nazareth today, here is what would probably happen;

Jesus would have been taken from his mother and father. It is a crime to be homeless and give birth outdoors in the city.

It is a crime to have a baby in an animal shed with the baby in a straw manger.

The parents (Mary and Joseph) would probably have been arrested and charged with felony child endangerment, and possibly have other charges or citations/fines issued against them, such as vagrancy, loitering, littering, public urination, panhandling, etc.

Baby Jesus would have been put in foster care and then tossed onto the street at age 18, while his parents rotted in jail. About 50% of foster kids end up homeless and then in a bad way, due to lack of support from the community or nation, in this case, the US.

The three wise men would have never gotten to the shed where Jesus was born. They would not have been allowed into the country, due to being from Syria, wearing turbans, plus being other than white and wearing long gowns.

Via or-well December 23, 2015 What If Jesus Had Been Born 2,000 Years Later in the American Police State?

By John W. Whitehead
Then again, had his parents been undocumented immigrants, they and the newborn baby might have been shuffled to a profit-driven, private detention center for illegals. There’s quite a lot of money to be made from imprisoning immigrants, especially when taxpayers are footing the bill.

According to scripture, Jesus, at the age of twelve, wandered the temple courts in Jerusalem alone and unsupervised. Today, had Jesus disappeared for a few hours let alone days, his parents would have been handcuffed, arrested and jailed for parental negligence. Parents across the country have been arrested for far less “offenses” such as allowing their children to walk to the park unaccompanied and play in their front yard alone.

Had Jesus spoken publicly about his 40 days in the desert and his conversations with the devil, he might have been labeled mentally ill and detained in a psych ward against his will for a mandatory involuntary psychiatric hold with no access to family or friends. One Virginia man was arrested, strip searched, handcuffed to a table, diagnosed as having “mental health issues,” and locked up for five days in a mental health facility against his will apparently because of his slurred speech and unsteady gait.

Odds are, Jesus would have grown up after he was kicked out of a foster home at age 18, to be homeless and a criminal, and possibly a drug addict. Remember that he was born homeless in an animal shed and then had his parents taken way, just so that he could be shuttled from one foster care home to another. Jesus taught that it was ok for poor people to 'take' food that was not theirs, if they were hungry. Nowadays, that is considered 'theft', and will land a person in jail or with a hefty fine.

How things have changed, from the good old days when an average person could be homeless and grow up to be a saint and holy man, revered and honored for telling people to sell everything they had and live in a commune, and live by loving/forgiving everyone, including the worst enemies and terrorists. (Acts 2:45)

Mostly, the homeless are thrown in jail for stealing food when they are hungry. But in a few cases, which are exceptions to the rule of criminalizing the homeless and poor, those who have the power do the right thing...

WALLET THEFT EXPERIMENT

What would you do in this circumstance, if you were homeless for 90 days or longer? As a very desperate homeless person, would you keep the $1,000 or more you found in a wallet on the street, or would you turn it in to the police, as the law requires?

2.3 MILLION CHILDREN WERE HOMELESS IN THE US, IN 2013. JUST ABOUT ANYONE IN THE US IS JUST 30 DAYS AWAY FROM BEING HOMELESS AT ANY GIVEN TIME

Tragic Homelessness and Solutions
The truth is, anyone is about 30 days away from being homeless at any given time, even in the US. Lose your job and end up with close to zero income on unemployment, but what happens when even that runs out? Millions of people discovered that their homes were being taken away, and many of those ended up on the streets for some period of time, despite having jobs and healthcare.

One out of every 30 children in the U.S. experienced homelessness last year. That makes nearly 2.5 million children who, in 2013, lived in shelters, on the streets, in cars, on campgrounds or doubled up with other families in tight quarters, often moving from one temporary solution to another, according to “America’s Youngest Outcasts,” a report published Monday by the the National Center on Family Homelessness at the American Institutes for Research. MANY TO MOST CHRISTIANS BELIEVE THE HOMELESS ARE NOTHING BUT LEECHES ON GOVERNMENT PAYROLL, INCLUDING THOSE 2 MILLION HOMELESS CHILDREN

Homeless Barbi Harris hoped to die with dignity. But not before passing on her hard-earned wisdom. Even as her 51-year-old body became riddled with cancer, she continued to push her shopping cart to Calgary’s bottle-picking hotspots; the places she and her pals called their “traplines.” Harris did not want pity. Nor did she want to be judged. She simply wanted to be treated with kindness, with respect.

“Anybody is a pay cheque, a divorce, or a death from where I am,” said Harris, discussing how easy it can be to fall into homelessness. “We (the homeless) just want to be treated like humans.”

These are just a few of the lasting words of wisdom that remain etched in my mind and soul; the remnants of dozens of conversations I had with Barbi Harris during the last few months of her life."

BALTIMORE USED 10 MILLION THAT COULD HAVE BUILT HOMELESS SHELTERS AND HOUSED THEM ALL, BUT WASTED IT ON OTHER PURPOSES, AND THEN BULLDOZED HOMELESS CAMP USING PRISON LABOR

Baltimore just evicted dozens of homeless people from the city's largest encampment using prison labor. The eviction comes on the heels of a federal investigation which found the city misappropriated $10 million from the federal government intended for providing homes to the homeless.

ONLY 12 OFFICIAL AND SANCTIONED TENT CAMPS AROUND THE NATION, THE REST ARE EITHER BULLDOZED OR LEFT TO THEIR OWN DEVICES, WITH ZERO SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY

Homeless people across the United States have been developing special tent communities for their mutual support.  One resident of a New Mexico community said most Americans were only one pay check away from homelessness

Some of the tent cities have developed have their own vegetable gardens and community buildings
There are more than 100 tent cities across the US, although only around a dozen of them are officially sanctionedAuthorities have cleared well-established camps this year in Honolulu; Washington, D.C.; and, most recently, Boise, Idaho....'It's become unhealthy, unsafe and really unsustainable,' Boise Mayor Dave Bieter said earlier this month when he ordered police to evict and clear a camp with some 130 dwellers.

"Clearing" is another word that claims to justify bulldozing tent camps and stealing all of the possessions that homeless people use to survive, stay warm and out of rain. No reimbursement is offered, no other place is offered to go to, and if a homeless person resists they are ticketed, fined and/or arrested.

WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?

Source/credit US Uncut

Today, Jesus Christ might even be labeled a criminal for being homeless and dressed in sandals and robe, with no address, citizenship, or ID. He would end up in jail with all of the other homeless, especially if he dared to ask or beg for money, or if went into a temple and upset some tables or called rich people names, as he did in the Bible.

He might even be jailed and then tortured, especially if he called out the corporations and politicians for being pimps and whores for dollars, while whorshipping the golden calf idol that represents Capitalism.

Remember that Jesus commanded his followers to sell everything that they had (which meant that they did not OWN anything, and to live in common, taking only what they needed, and nothing more. This is called a cooperative living arrangement or possibly even a commune, and it still exists to this day.) If you are a Christian, are you following his command?  (Acts 2:45)

THE LAST GREAT CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN, WHO CHAMPIONED THE PEOPLE'S VOICE AND NEEDS, AND NOT THE HUGE CORPORATIONS

Vote ONLY for politicians who will increase taxes on huge corporations that hide TRILLIONS overseas in profits. They refuse to share these profits with the workers that created this wealth, and the also refuse to share these profits with communities so that they can afford to house the homeless and provide a social safety net. The 1 percent and their lackey politicians serve the GOD of GREED.

Vote only for those candidates who have a stake in solving this issue and other social issues, but don't take corporate or billionaires money.

Don't vote for the lesser evil, which then produces only more evil.

Creating a minimum LIVING WAGE across the nation would lift millions out of poverty and out of homelessness.

Many of the poor are homeless because they cannot afford housing in the richest country on the planet.

We have to learn how to quit judging the homeless and ourselves. We get to love them instead of hating and fearing them.
