Such astroturfing often comes across as idiotic to humans with their heads screwed on straight, but it is actually highly effective. (If it wasn’t, Russia wouldn’t be spending tens of millions of dollars on this strategy.)
Basically, many of the comments posted on popular media sites and blogs — as well as on sites like Facebook, reddit, and Twitter — are not authentic, real, legit comments. In plenty of cases, they aren’t even from humans. In many more cases, they are from paid “trolls.”
Because Putin has a huge incentive to fight all forms of renewable energy globally, because it benefits Russian oil exporting companies. Anyone associated with Putin or his oligarch owned companies also expresses a rabid pro nuclear, pro fossil fuel belief system, exactly like Trump. This belief system includes a denial of global warming, and a support of authoritarian 1 percent controlled top down industries such as fossil fuel and nuclear energy sources, exactly as Trump expresses it, with his love of Putin, Saudi Arabia, Erdogan, and Duterte, plus hatred of democracies, such as Germany or other advanced democratic bottoms up nations.

PEAK OIL HAS BEEN REACHED, NOW ON DOWNSIDE OF CARBON ADDICTION
We have reached peak oil and we are now on the downside of the peak oil mountain. The easiest oil is now gone. We are down to the hardest to get, most dangerous, dirtiest dregs of carbon products. We are burning what is left each year at a rate that took one million years to create. If we have to burn oil, we should burn it at the same rate it is being produced. Instead we are going into the hole and borrowing from the future, at a rate of 1 MILLION years for every year we keep using carbon products.
Because the easiest oil is gone, the carbon fuel monopoly is now being forced to squeeze the last dregs of dirty oil from sand, and rocks, while using very dirty fracking techniques to get it, which then pollutes groundwater and contaminates areas with chemicals, while at the same time generating huge amounts of radiation, which contaminates the air, the ground and the groundwater.
The carbon monopoly may have 'discovered' ways to 'squeeze' more oil and gas out of rocks and sand, but the cost is that we pollute the drinking water aquifers, contaminate groundwater, and pollute the air. Communities health deteriorates, while the destruction of the environment accelerates even further, in many more directions. The downside of carbon fuels is no longer worth the cost.
Like any addict who is having his life negatively affected by his addiction, we have reached the peak high, and now we are on the downside of the addiction. We are spinning downward into the negative spiral that every addict faces before they hit bottom. Humanity will either die from the consequences of not letting go of this addiction, or we make a decision to make large, paradigm shifting, healthy changes.
