THE PROBLEM WITH MONSANTO IS THAT IT VIOLATES MULTIPLE NATURAL LAWS, SUCH AS FARMERS GROWING INDIGENOUS SEEDS, FREE TO USE/GROW

Natural Law is above all human laws and inventions, such as GMO seeds by Monsanto. Indigenous seeds are free to grow, store and multiply, plus modify via Natural Law based natural selection and cross breeding. GMO seeds are patented, owned and sold. This violates Natural Law of free food, supplied just like free air, ground, water and life itself. If Monsanto can 'own' seeds, then the next step is 'owning' humans, air, water, ground and life itself. 
Monsanto Has Lost $11 Million As Indian Cotton Farmers Begin To Use Indigenous Seed

The corrupt company has been linked to the deaths of 300,000 farmers.

After illegally pushing a form of Bt cotton into India and Africa over 10 years ago, agrochemical company Monsanto is now losing millions of dollars due to farmers now planting their own indigenous seed. In the past, Monsanto has been accused of writing laws and breaking them in order to enter the Indian market.

The Indian government has now begun actively promoting the use of indigenous seed, whilst also publicizing Monsanto profiteering illegally on Bt cotton seed.

WHOEVER CONTROLS AND OWNS THE FOOD SUPPLY, RULES AND OWNS THE WORLD; MONSANTO WITH IT'S PATENTED SEEDS IS A FORM OF DESPOTIC TYRANNY LEADING TO FASCISM 

Monsanto has a goal of patenting and controlling all of the food in the world.

This means that they can also set whatever price they want on the seeds, pesticides, and even on the food that is grown. Currently 80% of the seeds in the world are heirloom indigenous seeds.

This means farmers save the seeds and plant them next year. Monsanto wants to make it illegal for farmers to save ANY seeds, from any crop, garden or food item grown on farmers.

They are well on their way. 90% of soybeans in the US are Monsanto seeds.


Why is more and more of our food being produced and genetically modified by a pesticide, poison manufacturing company? No long term impartial studies have been done on insects, people, plants or the soil related to these 'experimental' GMO poison chemicals and foods.

Terminator Seeds Will Result in Mass Starvation!

"There's nothing they are leaving untouched: the mustard, the okra, the bringe oil, the rice, the cauliflower. Once they have established the norm: that seed can be owned as their property, royalties can be collected. We will depend on them for every seed we grow of every crop we grow. If they control seed, they control food, they know it -- it's strategic. It's more powerful than bombs. It's more powerful than guns.

This is the best way to control the populations of the world. The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the "revolving door". One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991.

While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company's vice president for public policy.

Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. 

Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market. Monsanto's long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence. "

It is strange that GMO foods are labeled in Europe, but not in the USA, despite consumer demands that all foods be labelled. If GMO foods are so superior in all ways to ordinary food grown from heirloom seeds, why not label them all?

For centuries, farmers made a living by saving seeds from one year's crop to the next. But today, Monsanto has put an end to that by claiming patent rights over seeds -- the fundamental source of all plant life -- and forcing farmers to pay for new seeds year after year after year.

The result is a crippling cycle of poverty, from which farmers see no way out.


Bt cotton is currently India's only GMO crop, but it makes up 95 percent of all cotton farming in the country, giving Monsanto a massive monopoly on the market. These seeds cost about three to eight times the cost of conventional seeds.

As Vandana Shiva has said, when corporations control seeds, they control life. Monsanto is taking a renewable common resource and turning it into a nonrenewable, patented commodity.

The battle between Indian farmers and Monsanto is heating up. Now more than ever, we need to raise our voices to show Monsanto the whole world is watching -- and we won't stand by while it makes billions in profits at the expense of the world's poor farmers.

Today's fruits, vegetables lack yesterday's nutrition
Fruits and vegetables sold in Canadian supermarkets today contain far fewer nutrients than they did 50 years ago, according to an analysis conducted by The Globe and Mail and CTV News.

Vital vitamins and minerals have dramatically declined in some of our most popular foods, including potatoes, tomatoes, bananas and apples, the analysis reveals.

Take the potato, by far the most consumed food in Canada. The average spud has lost 100 per cent of its vitamin A, which is important for good eyesight; 57 per cent of its vitamin C and iron, a key component of healthy blood; and 28 per cent of its calcium, essential for building healthy bones and teeth.

It also lost 50 per cent of its riboflavin and 18 per cent of its thiamine. Of the seven key nutrients measured, only niacin levels have increased.

The story is similar for 25 fruits and vegetables that were analyzed. But Health Canada refused to comment on the findings, saying the debate was an academic one.

Abstract
Over the past 60 years there have been fundamental changes in the quality and quantity of food available to us as a nation. The character, growing method, preparation, source and ultimate presentation of basic staples have changed significantly to the extent that trace elements and micronutrient contents have been severely depleted. This trend, established in a review of the 5th Edition of McCance & Widdowson's The Composition of Foods, is still apparent in this review of the 6th edition of the same work. Concurrently there has been a precipitous change towards convenience and pre-prepared foods containing saturated fats, highly processed meats and refined carbohydrates, often devoid of vital micronutrients yet packed with a cocktail of chemical additives including colourings, flavourings and preservatives. It is proposed that these changes are significant contributors to rising levels of diet-induced ill health. Ongoing research clearly demonstrates a significant relationship between deficiencies in micronutrients and physical and mental ill health.

Argentina: The Country That Monsanto Poisoned
American biotechnology has turned Argentina into the world’s third-largest soybean producer, but the chemicals powering the boom aren’t confined to soy and cotton and corn fields. They routinely contaminate homes and classrooms and drinking water. A growing chorus of doctors and scientists is warning that their uncontrolled use could be responsible for the increasing number of health problems turning up in hospitals across the South American nation. In the heart of Argentina’s soybean business, house-to-house surveys of 65,000 people in farming communities found cancer rates two to four times higher than the national average, as well as higher rates of hypothyroidism and chronic respiratory illnesses. Associated Press photographer Natacha Pisarenko spent months documenting the issue in farming communities across Argentina.

Molecular biologist Dr. Andres Carrasco at the University of Buenos Aires says the burden from the chemical cocktails is worrisome, but even glyphosate alone could spell trouble for human health. He found that injecting a very low dose of glyphosate into embryos can change levels of retinoic acid, causing the same sort of spinal defects in frogs and chickens that doctors increasingly are registering in communities where farm chemicals are ubiquitous.

This acid, a form of vitamin A, is fundamental for keeping cancers in check and triggering genetic expression, the process by which embryonic cells develop into organs and limbs.

The BBC this morning ran an in-depth thirty minute report this morning from Argentina about the country’s soya boom and links between the herbicide glyphosate and birth defects.

Monsanto’s pesticides poisoning Argentina – report
Pesticides sold by Monsanto are behind health problems ranging from birth defects to elevated rates of cancer in Argentina, a report has revealed. A lack of regulations has led to widespread misuse of Monsanto’s products in the Latin American nation.

The Associated Press carried out a report that found a clear link between the use of pesticides sold by Monsanto and growing health problems in Argentina. Absence of regulations and their enforcement has led to widespread misuse of Monsanto’s chemicals across the country. In turn, this has caused multiple health problems in the rural population. 

AP documented a number of occasions when toxic pesticides were used close to populated areas and consequently contaminated the water supply and caused health problems. 


Argentina Protests Monsanto Toxicity and GMO Plant
The latest wave of anti-Monsanto protests come after Buenos Aires Governor Maria Eugenia Vidal appointed former Monsanto executive Leonardo Sarquis as the Minister of Agriculture in the province. Sarquis was the general manager of Monsanto's vegetable seed division for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay from 2005 to 2007.

President Mauricio Macri has also shown his support for big agribusiness in his first month in office. In a move he promoted as a boost to agricultural production, Macri scrapped export taxes on big agricultural corporations producing corn, wheat, and beef, and lowered taxes on soybeans, eliminating a key funding source of social programs and infrastructure governments under his Kirchnerist predecessors.
