This is because the U.S., which like Russia never ratified the Convention on Cluster Munitions treaty, regularly uses cluster munitions. It used them in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Iraq. It has provided them to Saudi Arabia for use in Yemen. Russia has yet to come close to the tally of civilian deaths from cluster munitions delivered by the U.S. military.

Thousands of protestors across the UK joined the No to War in Ukraine Global Day of Action yesterday. The whole country was covered in protest with over 50 events taking place over the weekend from the Isle of Wight to Aberdeen – thank you to everyone who joined their local protest!

The huge day of events reflects the widespread desire for peace in the Ukraine amongst the British public with a ceasefire and the withdrawal of all Russian troops top of the demands throughout the demonstrations and vigils. She concluded by stating that ‘the anti-war movement is not going to take lessons from our government in how to fight for peace’ and that Stop the War ‘will continue to fight for a just peace for everyone across the world’.

There have been over 20 close calls that almost led to a global nuclear war.. This is just another one of those events that have the world looking down into the abyss of a global nuclear war. Files obtained by ICIJ claim Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his partners established a network of offshore companies in 2012.

According to its findings, two of the offshore companies belonging to Zelenskyy’s partners were used to buy three lavish properties in central London.

The Pandora Papers are the latest in a series of mass ICIJ leaks of financial documents, from LuxLeaks in 2014, to the 2016 Panama Papers, which triggered the resignation of the prime minister of Iceland and paved the way for the forced resignation of the leader of Pakistan.

They were followed by the Paradise Papers in 2017 and FinCen files in 2020.

This refusal to feel impoverishes our emotional and sensory life. Flowers are dimmer and less fragrant, our loves less ecstatic. We create diversions for ourselves as individuals and as nations, in the fights we pick, the aims we pursue, and the stuff we buy.

Of all the dangers we face, from climate chaos to permanent war, none is so great as this deadening of our response. For psychic numbing impedes our capacity to process and respond to information. The energy expended in pushing down despair is diverted from more crucial uses, depleting the resilience and imagination needed for fresh visions and strategies.

Trump broke the treaty with Russia and Iran by cancelling them both. All he had to do if he did not like either one was to negotiate. Instead, Trump gave the nuclear industry billions more to develop new and smaller nuclear weapons that are easier to use.

"Under the terms of the New Start agreement, ratified in 2010, each country is required to reduce the number of deployed strategic warheads to 1,550 by the year 2017. The other two countries with deployed nuclear weapons, according to SIPRI, are the UK with 160 deployed weapons and France with 290 deployed weapons. The total number of deployed nuclear weapons in the world stands at 5,027 in 2011. Of these, SIPRI estimates that some 2,000 are kept on high operational alert, ready to be fired within moments of an order to do so.

In addition to its deployed nuclear weapons, the US has 6,350 additional nuclear weapons for a total of 8,500. Russia has 8,570 additional nuclear weapons for a total of 11,000. The UK has an additional 65 weapons for a total of 225. France has an additional 10, for a total of 300.

Four other countries have only non-deployed nuclear weapons, according to SIPRI: China with 240; India with 80-100; Pakistan with 90-110; and Israel with 80."

Even launching defensive nuclear weapons via Star Wars Shielding, will wipe out all life on Earth through the nuclear radiation of defensive nuclear bombs released at high altitudes. This high altitude radiation eventually comes back down to Earth, and results in genetic problems and sterilizing of all life on the planet.

Even a LIMITED regional nuclear war will result in a Nuclear Winter. Those people not killed immediately by the blast or shortly after by the radiation from thousands of nuclear bombs, will be by the constant and never ending radiation POURING from 400 nuclear plants and their spent fuel pools melting down, blowing up and radiating the whole planet via 800 coriums (melted nuclear fuel) that NEVER stops pouring radiation out of the ground or from the explosions after a plant self destructs, much like Fukushima. THE TEMPTATION TO USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS GROWS WITH TIME AND WITH AN INCREASING NUMBER OF THEM, ESPECIALLY THE SMALLER ONES 

The problem with having nuclear weapons is that there is always a temptation to use them, even in a local conflict such as Vietnam. Nixon wanted to use nuclear weapons in Vietnam, but was talked out of it. It only takes one mistake by one leader to start a global nuclear war. 

Currently only a few countries have nuclear weapons. We can agree to dismantle and get rid of ALL nuclear weapons. It is possible to do this, because MOST countries have NO nuclear weapons and they are doing fine without them. South Africa got rid of all things nuclear, and it did not descend into chaos or anarchy. Rather the opposite happened. 

South Africa transformed from a fascist, racist, violent, genocidal, minority controlled, very polarized nuclear weapons owning country with a huge poor population that was constantly discriminated against by a rich corporate backed white minority to an inclusive, diverse, forgiving, peaceful country that treated it's citizens at least somewhat better... (corporations still control the country).

High altitude nuclear explosions will generate EMP pulses that will knock all civilizations back to the Stone Age by frying all electronic circuits in everything; power grids, cars, homes, factories, nuclear power plants, etc. For more information, click on the following link;

































The problem with a natural or man made EMP pulse and/or a nuclear war is that either one of these situations are TERMINAL for all life on Earth. It does not matter who starts a nuclear war or creates an EMP pulse above a nation. With every nation launching everything they have in a preventative manner, the end result will be the end of all life on the planet, because there are enough nuclear weapons on Earth to kill everyone about a dozen times over. But that is not the worst of it.

As these nuclear weapons knock out all electrical grids, all power will be lost to the 400 nuclear power plants globally, as well as their associated spent fuel pools. We saw what happened at Fukushima Daichi nuclear power plants when their power went out. Multiple reactors and spent fuel pools melted down and/or exploded. 

Imagine 400-800 times this much and worse, because power was brought back to Fukushima to prevent the worst case scenario in the nick of time. If nuclear weapons destroy all power grids, no power is coming back to any nuclear power plant, anywhere. One nuclear power plant with hundreds of tons of highly radioactive spent fuel melting out and blowing up is MUCH worse than a global nuclear war with 4,000 nuclear bombs. There is no way humanity or any life on Earth will live through 800 nuclear plants and spent fuel pools exiting their containment.

Another way that a global life extinction event can happen, as a result of the activities of humankind, is through the extremely powerful EMP effect from a huge solar storm. The negative effects that come from this EMP pulse is known as the Carrington Effect.

Combine a global nuclear war with the destruction of 400 spent fuel pools containing 200,000 tons of highly toxic, radioactive heavy metal poison and liberating it into the atmosphere, and there is no living through that.

The future is literally in your hands. The people that you vote for and support will determine whether or not we have a dangerous life extinction type of future with leaders blindly supporting nuclear weapons and nuclear power plants, or the opposite. 

Ask your leaders and professionals if they support nuclear power and why. Demand that your leaders abolish all nuclear weapons and close all nuclear power plants. It can be done. Many countries have done it already. We just need to copy these NUMEROUS examples, instead of living in fear. There are many more countries living without nuclear weapons and nuclear plants than those that have them. All that remains to do is to copy the nations that have gotten rid of their nuclear weapons and nuclear plants, and then live in peace and harmony. Worst case, even if war breaks out, at least it will not be MAD, dooming the human race and all life to extinction. 


Hand those around you a copy this article, or send them the link to this article, and teach others about the risks. Teach your children the dangers of non sustainable energy systems, such as coal, oil and nuclear. 

Teach the children in your life and community, or your local schools about the benefits of the green, clean, zero carbon energy sources, and try to live or move towards those fuels as your energy source for your home, car, workplace, etc. Be an example that does what is being taught.
